1st Grade Chorus Contest!!
The 1st Grade Chorus Contest is held every June.
We spare two days--- the first day for the first-round, and the second day for the final-round.
We have less than two weeks to prepare for this contest. We choose one song out of a “Song List” and practice it again and again at each classroom or the music room.
Tenth graders compete with one another by the class for the prize.
5 classes selected at the first-round are supposed to sing their own songs in public and the top three classes are awarded by the judges.
But this year 6 classes were selected. That’s because 2 classes had the same points.
And this year, 1-8 won. This class sang, “Soramo Toberuhazu.” They sang with a really beautiful voice, and everyone listened attentively to the song.
This is the first and biggest event that tenth graders have as a “class” since they entered high school. They begin to get along with each other through this event.
So they work together very hard to become a better class!!
